They are single–core(Prime is quad), but on the other hand the guys are talking about some crafted Android optimized for eink, so I'm in doubts. I'm thinking now about Explore/Infinity, but not sure whether the processor is strong enough. I was really impressed, since actually already dropped all the expectations(initially they said "in a month"). I did complain to Artatech folks, and within a couple of months they fixed it. Boyue T62+ and Likebook 8", as well as Inkbook Obsidian, were behaving nice.
Initially there was just one, though very irritating issue: Kindle app(sporadically), Fora and Golden dicts(permanently) and maybe some other apps used to send the screen to some very fast permanently blinking refresh mode with further freeze and spontaneous reboot. I do not use the stock reading app though, using AlReader eink adaptation instead. Hunt up 4 apks (apkmirror, xda-developers, etc.) and put them on the inkBOOK. It is also running Android 4.4.2 and has an app store preloaded with only 16 apps. Even though the Play Store isn’t fully functional Play Books works fine. There is 128MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and no SD card. As a side note, after the above steps have been completed you can side-load Play Books version:3.12. The Lumus retails for 99 USD and the Prime HD is 129.99.
I do have Inkbook Prime for about half a yr already and very happy with it. Run Play Store - Enter Google account info. The Inkbook Lumos and Inkbook Prime HD are now available on the Good e-Reader Store for purchase.
